Early Life

Humayun was born in Dhaka in 29th May, 1952. He was a student of Economics in Jahangirnagar University and during his university life time, he was a close associate of Selim Al-Deen

Acting Career

Humayun Faridi was one of the principal organizer of 1976 Drama Festival of Jahangirnagar University. Mainly from this moment, he started to be famous. He became a member of Dhaka Theatre during his student life in the university. [2]. Humayun later acted on numerous drama on the country's television. One character 'Kan Kata Ramjan' from the novel 'Shongshoptok' earned Faridi extreme popularity in the country. During 90s, Faridi started acting in Film where he also earned extreme popularity by bringing new concept in the acting. It was said sometimes that, audience go to watch film to watch Humayun Faridi rather than actor the film.

Married Life

Faridi was married to Suborna Mustafa after divorcing his first wife. He got divorced from Suborna in 2008,when she married Badrul Anam Soud,A Promising TV director of Bangladesh.

Faridi died on 13 February 2012 at 10 AM at his daughter's (from his 1st marriage) residence. he was suffering by chronic lungs disease & Physical weakness. He was admitted on Hospital two month befor of his death. he got discharged from hospital two days before his death. He found dead on the washroom of his home. President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh expressed deep condolences upon his death.
